Greetings!

Autumn kicks off a season of gratitude and celebration. It’s a time for friends, family, giving, receiving, acknowledging what is good in our lives and how we are blessed, even during challenging times.

We are especially grateful for our Evergreen family – Host Home Providers, Family Caregivers, Staff, Board of Directors, and the special Individuals which are the heart of our mission. Thank you for helping them thrive every day.

Thanks For Joining Us at the Rockies Game!

In September, Evergreen Service Providers hosted about 70 members of our Evergreen family at an exciting Rockies game. It was their last home game of the year, challenging the Los Angeles Angels, and the Rockies won!

The Warning Track room made it possible for us to visit with each other, enjoy great food, and enjoy the game together. After the game the players and Dinger paraded by the space and gave us some high fives. What a great way to wind down the summer!!

We are grateful that we have the honor of working with this special group of people. This event is an illustration of what we are all about – helping IDD Individuals thrive personally and as participants in their communities.

The Benefits of Gratitude

Gratitude is what we feel when we acknowledge the good things in our lives. Those acknowledgements turn our focus to what’s positive and boost our moods. But it’s more than a feeling!

Numerous studies reveal that a grateful outlook, counting one’s blessings, and expressing gratitude to others can have positive effects on our emotional well-being, interpersonal relationships, and even physical health. It can change our attitude and make us kinder to ourselves and others. Learn more, including ways to make gratitude a part of each day.

Gratitude for the Family Caregiver Program – Keeping Brothers Together

When their father passed in 2015, Michael brought his brother, Josh, to live with him. He learned about the Family Caregiver Program but had some hesitation about going down that road.

In Tribute to Dave Myers

November is pancreatic cancer awareness month. We remember, with gratitude, Dave Myers, Founder of Evergreen Service Providers. We encourage you to learn about pancreatic cancer – the disease that took his life – including its symptoms, treatments, prevention, and the research and progress that is ongoing. Thank you, Dave, for the difference your vision and your life’s work continues to make in so many lives in the IDD community.
