Thrive! Get Out There!

Summer 2025

Greetings!

Summer is about a break from school and work, vacations, outdoor activities and fun, but mostly about family, friends, and meaningful times together.

This month’s newsletter focuses on connections and how they help us thrive a commitment that is at the heart of Evergreen Service Providers mission.

We are grateful for you and the positive difference you make every day. We hope the information in this newsletter will help enrich your own lives and those of the Individuals we serve as you help them thrive in mind, body, and sprit.

Thank you for being part of the Evergreen family.

Rockies Game – Be There!

One way we can all thrive is through social connections being with each other, participating in community activities, volunteering, getting out and enjoying events together, and having fun!

As you know, we are going to a Colorado Rockies game in September that will be an event to remember!

As a reminder, here are the details. Be sure to RSVP by August 11!

Summer Health and Safety Tips

We are fortunate in Colorado to have multiple outdoor activities to choose from and many great places to visit right here in our own state. As you are heading out to enjoy the summer, review some summer health and safety tips to prevent problems and make the most of your adventures. Be sure to check out the section on keeping pets safe, too!

Residential Options Change When IDD Individuals Reach Adulthood

When a child with IDD is approaching 18 years of age and is receiving services funded by the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF), it’s time for families to take a look at the residential options that will be available to them as an adult.

Our
recent blog shares resources about the Family Caregiver program an option that enables families to stay together and details on how we can help them navigate each step of the process.

If you know Individuals or families who are interested in this program or need to understand the options available to their IDD loved one, please share
this information with them.

Supported Community Connections are Critical

Our SCC coordinators are essential to helping our Individuals connect with, contribute to, and feel a part of the community. Read our blog that features one of Evergreen’s own families which have found the perfect solution for themselves and their IDD family member.
